She has particular expertise in attachment, child development, parenting, relational trauma, pre and post adoption services, and international missionary member care. Dr. Karen completed residency at the Chicago Area Christian Training Consortium through Wheaton College, and has over a decade of professional experience. She lived and worked in East Africa and is a mother to four children by adoption and birth. She is Clinical Faculty member at Spalding University and podcast co-host.
