( English | español ) I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking to grow from their experiences, and develop a life that is fulfilling to them. I have over ten years of experience working with clients–adolescents, pre-teens, families, and young adults. I am passionate about working with individuals who have realized that their old ways of living, thinking and feeling are not working for them anymore, and who are ready to experience a better relationship with themselves and others, and greater life satisfaction. I grew up in Latin America and have experience working with people from many different countries and cultures. Areas I specialize in include difficulties or stress related to life transitions, cultural adaptation, grief, depression, trauma, addiction, self-harm and emotional dysregulation. I have a passion for working with young adults as they transition and build a life they love and feel proud of. I have pursued further training in Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and EMDR. We all go through difficulties at different times in our lives. I sincerely believe that having someone to lean on and share these struggles with can help us navigate these hard times so that we can emerge from them having grown from them and able to feel joy and take on new challenges again. Me gusta trabajar con clientes que necesitan apoyo en este punto de su vida, o quienes han decidido que para crear la vida que quieren, necesitan cambiar sus habitos, forma de pensar o estados de animo. Creci en Guatemala y puedo ayudarle en su idioma natal y con conocimiento y aprecio hacia la cultura Latinoamericana. Para comunicarse conmigo en espanol, o para evaluaciones de immigracion, porfavor mandeme un e-mail y le llamare lo mas pronto posible, ya que la recepcionista no habla espanol. Durante diez anos, he adquirido experiencia en las areas de transiciones de la vida, adaptacion cultural, estres, depresion, trauma, adiccion y desregulacion emocional. Mi pasion ayudar a mis clientes me ha llevado a adquirir educacion adicional en tratamientos apoyados por la ciencia–principalmente CBT, DBT y EMDR. Realmente creo que tener apoyo y alguien en quien confiar durante situaciones y decisiones dificiles, nos ayuda a sobrellevarlas y crecer de ellas con mas facilidad.
