Therapist Overview
Providing a safe, caring space is the foundation of my practice. I offer a warm and supportive environment within which my clients can work toward their potential. I use a variety of therapeutic interventions, depending on client interest, including mindfulness practice to help alleviate anxiety, active listening, and expressive arts activities when words aren’t easy to find. My work is influenced by humanistic psychology and a deep connection to the natural world. I chose to specialize in holistic counseling because I believe that our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual selves are all involved in the healing process. Balance is achieved when we acknowledge and give each aspect of ourselves the chance to find its voice. Having gone through my own career transitions and faced issues related to aging, I am sensitive to how it feels to be growing older in our youth-oriented culture. I believe that as we get older, we get better!
