Therapist Overview
My practice specializes in individual therapy for older teens (16+), college students, and young(ish) adults in their 20’s and 30’s who are struggling with Anxiety, Stress, or Adjustment Issues/Life Transitions. My focus is to help support you with coping with the stressors that make this time in life particularly challenging: issues related to academics/school, work, relationships (peer, romantic, family), self-esteem, and self-confidence. I understand firsthand what it’s like to experience racing thoughts, “what if” yourself, and worry without apparent reason. It’s overwhelming and exhausting. I’ve been there. I can help. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions where we’ll challenge patterns of thinking that contribute to anxiety, stress, or hold you back in life, and work to adopt new perspectives that better serve you. You’ll become more self-aware, learn coping skills to self-soothe, and acquire tools to navigate the world in a healthier way. Therapy is an investment in your time, money, and energy, so finding a therapist who you connect with and trust is crucial in the process. My style is collaborative and supportive. I often use humor and like to keep it real. My website is linked on this page for more information on my style & specialties. Please reach out if you think we might be a good fit!
