My practice focuses on the issues surrounding older adults and their families. Many times, older adults need help to work through issues such as loss of independence, transition, or bereavement. Similarly families may need help with changing family roles and relationships. My goal is to provide guidance so the older adult and family achieve a sense of peace within a safe environment. I have worked with older individuals who suffer depression, dementia, anxiety, and adjustment disorder; I also work with family dynamics surrounding an older adult: spouse-spouse relationships, child-parent relationships, sibling relationships. I can provide individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and consultation regarding geriatric issues. I being with a global assessment; I like to hear the chief complaint from as many sources as possible (with HIPAA) so that I can accurately grasp the situation.
