Therapist Overview
Recognizing the diversity of human experience, I have sought comprehensive and multicultural clinical experiences. My interest in holistic health has led to a wide breadth of professional experiences throughout the United States and abroad. I have served in numerous settings including in a forensic clinic, a refugee shelter, a university counseling center, with homeless veterans, and in general community mental health. I have taken a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing complex conditions such as PTSD, psychosis, depersonalization, shifts in consciousness, spiritual difficulties, and complex trauma. I integrate various modalities into my clinical work such as acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. I often utilize an interdisciplinary approach by engaging with other professionals such as nutritionists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other providers of conventional and alternative medicine to best serve my clients. I recognize that it is imperative to acknowledge the contextual, historical, and societal factors often underlying many psychological and interpersonal difficulties. As such, beyond addressing symptoms of psychological distress, I often assist clients to develop an empowering narrative of their impacting experiences.
