Therapist Overview

You don’t have to face life’s challenges on your own. You might be telling yourself that you should be stronger or should be able to handle everything life throws your way. These “shoulds” can lead to feeling disconnected from the people in your life, decreased focus and motivation, problems caring for yourself, and increased use of alcohol or other substances to avoid unhappy thoughts and feelings. Beginning the process of therapy can help you gain compassion for and a better understanding of yourself, as well as develop skills to handle life’s difficult times in a healthier way. In therapy, I offer a supportive space to collaboratively explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I utilize a variety of therapy techniques, including exploring relationships, identifying problematic thought patterns, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques. I also enjoy using humor when appropriate. I offer morning, afternoon, and evening hours to accommodate your schedule. Visit my website to schedule an appointment or to obtain more information about me and how we can work together to reach your goals.
