Faye Kouimelis

I provide therapy for all ages, children through older adults as well as people with mild to severe diagnoses, complex cases, and trauma. My practice uses a mind-body approach to therapy since our bodies and minds are interconnected. Everyone’s struggle is unique and every person may need to start their path to healing in a different place. Some may need to start with focus on body then move to the more difficult psychological piece of healing. In my practice, I use a client-centered approach so we can go through therapy together at a pace that works best. In my practice I addresses mental health and physical wellness. I use body movements in addition to therapy as a new way to heal. Some people need to start with the body as an avenue to healing. Special populations I work with are veterans, firefighters, children, psychosis and autism. In my work with children I use play therapy and sensory integration. Everyone’s life struggles are unique. You may be adjusting to a new transition in life or you may be battling a lifelong diagnosis. Living with any psychological pain from mild to severe will impact life and almost everyone needs some support at times. I hope to be able to help you in your time of need by offering guidance, empathy, space, and compassion.
