Therapist Overview

I help teens and adults to identify and overcome difficulties that affect their adjustment to and success in the areas of education or work, family, and peer relationships. My ideal client is someone willing to explore problem-solving, relationship-building, and leadership skills within a group (or couples) therapy session, typically involving play therapy that involves therapeutic role-playing games (typically Dungeons and Dragons). I combine such work as needed with brief, problem-solving Adlerian- or cognitive-behavioral therapy in individual therapy, along with completion of assessments and tests. I offer services through individual and group/couples therapy. My individual therapy relies on traditional methods to address issues of adolescents, and adults. My group/couples work uses role playing games (e.g., D&D) to improve problem-solving, relationship, and leadership skills. I also use assessment / testing and write reports where it will be helpful. I look forward to meeting you.
