Therapist Overview
This ever-changing world can be difficult for today’s children and teens. The pressure to fit in, keep up with social media, learning how to balance school, friends, home life, and extracurricular activities all while trying to figure out who they are and who they want to become can be not only stressful but confusing. Working with children and adolescents requires specialized knowledge and skills as well as warmth, empathy, optimism, and an ability to connect quickly to your clients. I provide all of these in the therapeutic setting. My eclectic approach to treatment comes from years of experience in hospital settings, and as a School Social Worker in alternative schools for students with behavioral disorders. However, I adapt to individuals’ unique personalities and needs. For children, I utilize a hands-on approach with art, games, and role-play. While I know these years can be difficult for all involved. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable atmosphere that will foster social and emotional growth. I look forward to helping you and your child or teen implement strategies to overcome your conflicts.
