Steadfast Center specializes in helping adults heal from recent and past abuse, neglect, and other painful experiences. We understand how these experiences cause wounds that impact relationships, work, and happiness, and are often the root cause of anxiety and depression. Our work with clients is based on what we believe is the foundation of a healthy relationship – trust, respect, empathy, and mutuality. I strive to explore and understand each client’s unique experiences, strengths, identities, and challenges. My greatest hope is for clients to feel seen and understood, and as a result develop a strong sense of self-compassion. I help clients understand how they were shaped by trauma, how different strengths and strategies allowed them to survive, and how those strategies might change to better fit the lives they are now living. I invite clients to think beyond surviving to thriving by helping them cultivate their senses of joy, humor, and pleasure when the timing is right. I work with clients from a variety of cultures and identities. I support clients whose identities are marginalized and who want to explore the impact of living in oppressive systems. I am LGBQIA, trans, non-binary, poly, and kink affirming. I also welcome couples/partners who want to heal the impact that past trauma has on their current relationship(s).
