There are so many misconceptions when it comes to what therapy is like. I’d love to have the opportunity to challenge those beliefs. My focus ranges from working with those who have experienced difficult, life altering events, to those struggling with day to day anxiety and stress. I use a strengths-based, trauma informed approach to encourage growth and healing. I have worked in the fields of both mental health and substance abuse. I also have experience working with first responders. My recent work has been with children and families who have experienced a traumatic event such as a sudden loss, or exposure to community or domestic violence. The bottom line is that everyone can use someone objective to talk to; whether it’s about the past, present, or future. My hope in our work together would be to foster a relationship that encourages open communication and collaboration throughout this process.
