Therapist Overview
During this unfamiliar time of Coronavirus, I use teletherapy (meeting with people through video chat) to help people cope with the uncertainty of this time and managing pre-existing issues of anxiety, depression, life transitions, and LGBT issues. I have a special interest in providing support through the uncertainty of a medical diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life issues. I also walk beside people as they cope with grief and bereavement. If it resonates with the person, I have experience leading mindfulness meditation sessions, which has been proven to alleviate stress and anxiety. I have been a clinical social worker for over 10 years, working in oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as The Wellness Room. While teletherapy is not a preferred means of providing therapy, it is necessary at this time and I have found that it is still a very effective way of connecting with people and offering support. It is my hope to provide a warm and comforting place for you to share whatever burdens you. Together, we will collaborate to find ways of addressing whatever is weighing on your mind. I have always considered it a great honor and privilege to be doing the work that I love. Thank you for allowing me to share this space with you.
