She earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of the Cumberlands, following completion of her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from Eastern Kentucky University.
