I am not taking new clients at this time. Life in general is hard. When you add financial problems and employment problems…or a history of childhood trauma…or domestic violence… or unhealthy substance use, it becomes difficult to function. Depression and anxiety appear. My thoughts about how people change is multilayered. It is important to identify all the things that are challenging you, gain some insight AND develop a path forward that involves changing your behavior to be better able to achieve the things in life that you want. I have been a therapist for over 20 years and have worked with a wide range of people. I bring a wealth of knowledge about a number of key life issues including grief and loss, trauma recovery, substance use and abuse, chronic illness (including HIV,) disability and domestic violence.
