I am passionate about helping others. Therapy serves a different purpose for different people but we are all weighed down by the negatives life has thrown at us along the way. I hope to assist individuals in learning to let go of anything that may be holding them back to give them more time and energy to focus on what they need to move forward and become the best version of themselves. My approach is tailored to each individual as it is he/she that will be guiding treatment. I find the most effective therapeutic alliance is based on developing a connection with the person, not the diagnosis. Allow yourself to trust your mind, body, and soul in guiding you to address whatever it is you need. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based practice for post-traumatic stress disorder. EMDR can also be used to treat a variety of other diagnoses and symptoms by processing intrusive thoughts impacting functioning.
