Therapist Overview
We have a fundamental human need for connection. And yet feeling connected can be difficult. This is especially true at times of transition in our lives: good, bad, and otherwise, change is stressful! I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to re-establish connection in the face of such transitions as a new job/career, marriage, parenthood, children becoming adolescents, young adulthood, divorce, to name a few. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and completed intensive training in couple and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute in New York City. My ten years of providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families has taught me the value of context, particularly as it relates to power, privilege, and oppression. We will explore your experience in the context of your family, community, and culture to help us discover what hinders growth and change and empower you to find fulfillment in your relationships with yourself and others.
