Therapist Overview
**Currently not accepting new clients. If you’re interested in my waiting list, e-mail is preferred.** There are times in life when we realize that the ways we have been coping are getting in the way of our life goals, values and relationships, and it is hard to know how to begin changing these patterns. This is all part of being human! Unfortunately, life doesn’t come with an instruction manual so it can be challenging to figure out the best way to move forward. I believe that people have the inherent ability to heal, and even thrive, especially when they have support to address those times in life that have been challenging. My approach to working with clients is heavily influenced by Somatic Experiencing®, an approach to healing trauma and to creating more ease and connection between one’s mind and body. I also have many years of experience doing more traditional therapy in wilderness, residential and college counseling settings. I offer some evening and weekend appointments. My favorite part of being a counselor is witnessing and supporting the life changes my clients make in our time working together. I see my role as being an advocate, working with individuals to create a life that holds meaning for them, and helping them clear any barriers that are getting in the way. Feel free to reach out if this seems like a good fit!
