Therapist Overview

The path I took to work as a counselor at Thriveworks is a rather straightforward one. I have had an interest in helping others with feelings or emotions since as far back as I can remember. When family or teachers would notice this interest, they would tell me that I may want to look into psychology. It wasn’t until high school when I was able to take a class in the subject. What I learned in that class ignited my interest in the field and so I chose my major before even applying to colleges. Before graduating from Chestnut Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I had already enrolled in LaSalle’s master’s in professional counseling psychology program. Since graduating in 2012, I have provided treatment to a variety of populations in the city of Philadelphia. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy with a focus on communication. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, in the home, school, and office setting. I have extensive experience working with people with autism and Asperger’s syndrome. I am an LGBTQIA+ friendly counselor.
