Therapist Overview
Alicia Thomas, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, whose goal is to assist her clients in finding strength, courage, and happiness. Alicia specializes in working with tweens and teens, and adults specifically in the areas of grief and loss/trauma, and anxiety/depression. Her true passion is helping individuals realize their full potential and helping them create fulfilling possibilities for their future. In addition to Bo’s Place experience and training, Alicia is also undergoing an extensive training through the Trauma and Grief Center of Houston to help her continue her journey of working with adolescents experiencing trauma and grief. Alicia switched from school based clinical counseling to private practice recently and is very excited for this chapter of her life, where she can truly help teens, families, parents, and adults therapeutically from start to finish. Her assessment and therapy approach is truly strengths based and focused on root cause so that healing can happen from within.
