My practice focuses on work with couples who wish to connect better after periods of transition or challenge, such as from communication and blame, childcare, career shifts, infidelity, or empty nest difficulties. People with such struggles may have histories with significant challenges or trauma that require both compassion and attention to work though. Thus, after addressing the immediate stressors of your situation, I will help you work through some of the root causes of your distress. In addition to utilizing well-researched treatments including Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Somatic Therapy, I offer psycho-education throughout our meetings so you understand the rationale behind therapeutic approaches.
