Therapist Overview

My name is Aimee Volkman, and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). I believe each individual is unique, and views the world through an individualistic lens- given their experiences. I feel everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard. It takes a lot of courage to take a step towards enhancing ones well-being. Often, people feel lost and overwhelmed in their past and current struggles. I have a varied clinical background focused on working with children, adults and families who are struggling with life changes, anxiety, depression, PTSD, divorce, autism, attachment and existential crisis. Through the process of counseling, you are not alone. I work to tailor treatment to each individuals needs. I strive to build a safe and trusting environment and therapeutic relationship. My work is influenced from a person centered perspective, also incorporating expressive arts and play therapy. Lastly, I believe in listening to your story with compassion, warmth, and acceptance.
