Therapist Overview
My main mode of therapy is a humanistic approach. I seen through years of my work that people change when they are provided a safe environment where they can explore their own issues they’re considering changing free of judgment. I use Motivational Interviewing to help people resolve their ambivalence about changing behaviors from alcohol, drugs, gambling, relationships, weight, and all health problems. In addition, I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Reality Therapy, and Existential therapy so the people I work with can solve their own problems and live a life of intention. Currently, I am a full-time trainer and consultant with Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care and teach at Rutgers School of Social Work. I train on implementing Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment for co-occurring disorders, suicide prevention, Illness Management & Recovery (IMR). motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma informed care. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I
