We are a 20 bed adult trauma unit on the campus of University Behavioral Health hospital in Denton Texas. We have a robust intensive program with 30 groups a week and individual therapy 3 x a week. The program is based on Dr Colin Ross’s “Trauma Model” and emphasizes the effects of trauma as multiple symptoms and addictions expressed by multiple diagnoses. Average length of stay is 2 weeks for inpatient with option of 2 more weeks in partial after discharge.Dr Ross is on campus 2 x a week. Our program provides treatment for adult survivors of trauma. Our clients have extensive co-morbidity, but the most common diagnoses include; personality disorders, major depression and anxiety disorders, ptsd, dissociative disorders, eating disorders and substance abuse issues.
