Therapist Overview
Over the last 28 years I have worked in an agency, at a free standing psychiatric hospital and in private practice. Although I have worked with a wide range of clients of all ages, I find a special interest in working with women’s issues and with grief. Having had some significant losses in my own life, I feel I am particularly sensitive to the needs of others, male and female, who have lost someone to death or divorce or a deep relationship. As a wife and a mother, I also have an understanding of the joys and challenges inherent in both. Dealing with my own grief issues has helped me better understand what my clients experience My experience in dealing with women’s issues has focused to a large degree on self-esteem, co-dependency and learning the tools to not only be who that person is but to be proud of it.
