Therapist Overview
I am passionate about helping gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer clients in a variety of areas. I often help clients build and maintain healthy relationships, work through depression, stress, or anxiety, navigate relationships with less accepting family or friends, deal with difficulties surrounding coming out, overcome sexual challenges, and manage shame, discrimination and stigma. I frequently write letters of support for transgender or gender non-conforming individuals who wish to gain access to hormone replacement therapy or surgeries. If you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, same-gender loving, transgender, gender non-binary, asexual, poly, kinky, queer, questioning, confused, or not a big fan of labels, and you need a place to talk, I am here. Because of COVID-19, I am currently conducting the majority of my sessions online. In addition to my practice, I work as a professor of psychology at Utah State University where I teach and do research about sexual and gender minority
