At one point or another we can all benefit from what therapy has to offer, starting with a relationship that’s uniquely separate from the rest of our day-to-day lives. Family and friends may provide a great deal of support, but an outside voice – in the context of a warm, respectful, and collaborative working relationship – can make all the difference. Most people find that therapy is the place where they can finally make sense of confusing or difficult feelings and situations. Like all relationships, therapy starts with a comfortable connection. I’ve been able to reliably find that bond and build trusting relationships with children, adolescents, and adults throughout the past 10+ years. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic thought while drawing on techniques from other areas such as cognitive-behavioral therapy.
