This life is not always easy, or joyful, or what we expect for ourselves and our children. But just because that is true doesn’t mean that things will never be easy, joyful or what we want and expect. Sometimes we need someone to be our witness to the life we live and serve as a reminder that there is always hope. I am here to be that witness for you or your child. I have worked with children and their caregivers for over 15 years in the human services field. Whether one is struggling with past trauma, attachment, anxiety and stress, or the challenges of childhood I am here for you. As an LIMHP, LMHC, and as a registered play therapist (RPT) through the Association for Play Therapy, I find my purpose in working with children. Play Therapy is my preferred modality as this allows children to express themselves in the most developmentally appropriate manner. Aspects of play and art are incorporated into all my sessions regardless of age. My role is to provide a safe place for children and adults in their life to be able to be themselves and explore how to heal while being accepted and heard. Sometimes that looks like utilizing play and art, reflection on thoughts and actions or challenging thinking patterns. Together, we can learn, play, and just be.
