My main goal is getting my client to be mindful and present in the here and now as a lot of people’s mind are in the future or the past. When we are focus on the future or the past, we miss out on our current experiences and can lead to depression or anxiety. By training your mind to focus on what is currently going on his a difficult challenge but not impossible. I provides tools for my clients to practice staying present and realize the connection between their thoughts and their actions. I specialize in working with the queer population and specifically queer men. As a queer person, it is difficult to figure out what parts of us are truly us and what parts of use were there to protect us, to try and fit in with the status quo. Helping my clients find their true, genuine identity includes reflecting on their past traumas, how ever small. As a therapist, I work with clients who are ready for change and clients who are not sure about change in their life. Where ever you are on your journey, it is valid and moving towards your goal can never be rushed.
