Therapist Overview
As a body-inclusive psychotherapist, I believe that we have within us everything we need to heal and grow, and that safe, supportive, and collaborative relationships help us to tap into our innate systems of healing. My approach is compassionate and person-centered, as I support people in developing their capacity to better navigate difficult life experiences. Whether focusing on overall emotional and physiological regulation, managing symptoms related to anxiety or depression, or addressing specific traumas or stressors, we can work together to move away from “stuckness” and towards an enhanced sense of harmony and well-being. I integrate relational therapy and an anti-oppressive framework with body-centered approaches including Somatic Experiencing, Somatic Touch, yoga, and mindfulness practices. These tools support the discovery of the spaciousness necessary to change patterns affecting your day to day life, and can help to resolve symtoms related to trauma and chronic stress. My southeast Evanston office is located one block south of both the Main Street Purple Line stop and the Union Pacific/North Line Metra. There is also free street parking available.
