Therapist Overview
I am a Master’s Level clinical psychologist who focuses on treating adolescents, and adults in a variety of areas. I treat people struggling with substance abuse, trauma, addictive behaviors (including pornography, sex, eating, gambling, video games, etc.), communication, sports/performance, anger, and work-related issues. I am particularly sensitive to the specific needs of first responders and veterans. I work with individuals from all walks and stages of life. In addition to providing therapy, I am an adjunct professor at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, in both the Justice and Public Policy and Psychology departments. I currently teach courses at the Washtenaw County Police Academy (Police officer Response to Persons with Mental Illness, and Police Wellness). I have had multiple appearances on television and radio, discussing topics related to both psychology and law enforcement. I’ve facilitated public talks on topics including teenage male aggression, PTSD, etc. I have spoken at the Michigan Academy of Arts and Science conferences and helped develop curriculum for and co-facilitated, group sessions on protecting and strengthening teenage boys. I have a commitment to education and helping people understand the issues that plague us.
