Therapist Overview
I have a Master’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Marriage and Family Therapy, and have been in practice for over 25 years. I am a Washington State designated as a Child Mental Health Specialist and a Registered Circle of Security Parent Educator. Over my years in practice, I have worked with families, couples, adolescents, and individuals. The goal of therapy is to help you understand yourself and others within a relationship. My goal is to help you see your behavior patterns at a processing level, so you may disrupt these patterns for new, healthy behaviors. For example, ending chronic people-pleasing habits. My approach to achieving this goal is to provide you with a “toolbox” full of tools specific to your needs. Some of those tools include learning about your primary and secondary personality type, understanding how your childhood helped develop these personality types, and exploring the subliminal messages that trauma or old wounds leave with us. I understand that it is a courageous commitment to decide to attend therapy and change your old habits. That is why I have office hours to fit your schedule from 10 AM to 9 PM, Monday-Friday. For large family therapy sessions, Saturday appointments available.
