Having worked with children, teenagers and their families as a school counselor, I have become very familiar with the issues that might be brought to a therapists office. I form a therapeutic relationship with children an based on trust, empathy, and even humor. I actively encourage parents to collaborate. It is a difficult thing to ask for help in any situation and even more difficult to reach out and make that first call to a therapist.
