Therapist Overview

I am a psychotherapist with clinical training influenced by relational and systems theories. I help clients to connect with their authentic selves and strengthen relationships. I enjoy working with individuals and partners to develop meaningful connections in their relationships, improve self-advocacy, and explore identity. I work from a framework that explores the ways in which early experiences can shape current patterns of relating with oneself and others. My work is guided by the understanding that many clients’ difficulties are impacted by systems of oppression such as transphobia, homophobia, gender discrimination, and racism. My background includes working with LGBTQIA2+ people, particularly as they transition to new expressions of gender and sexuality. I’ve worked with justice-involved clients with a focus on PTSD and complex trauma. I also work with clients of all identities who seek to understand and improve their sexual relationships. I am kink- and poly-aware and affirming. I meet clients with an emphasis on a safe, affirming therapeutic relationship as a place to begin healing and change.
