Therapist Overview
We are living in a time of profound change and groundlessness, where many of the things we took for granted are shifting. At the same time, we’re being asked to isolate right when we need connection the most. As a result, we might be struggling more with anxiety, depression, grief, anger, fear, and meaning-making. Therapy is a powerful tool that can help us make sense of these emotions and manage them, so we can navigate these times with greater resiliency, easefulness, and even joy. I bring a holistic, compassionate approach to each person, and an intersectional awareness of how our specific location in society uniquely affects us. I utilize a number of modalities to best support you, but often work with Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic techniques. My practice focuses on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, parenthood, relationships, sexuality, chronic illness, and the unique issues arising from identifying as LGBTQIA+ in our society. Meeting with a new therapist can feel daunting. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the connection and rapport between client and therapist, in a space where one feels safe, heard, and accepted. I draw from my experiences within artistic, queer, and sex-positive communities to aid in providing compassionate and meaningful treatment for all.
