Therapist Overview
Trained in extensive cognitive behavioral theory and working at VR, I worked to help clients find new ways of working and developing self concepts that embrace change. Working at Patrick Harris Psychiatric Hospital, I saw those with severe mental illnesses. Additional academic training was helpful in working with those with chronic diseases. Now, primarily, I see children using play therapy techniques. Currently, I have acquired approximately 80 hours in gambling addiction training and have passed the International Gambling Counsel Certification exam. Being a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider is my next goal. My primary task is helping individuals find ways to change thinking/behavior and recognize how change can bring about happiness and success with self and family/peers. Using motivational interviewing, play therapy, or unconditional positive regard, a client can discover more about her/himself and which can lead to satisfaction knowing his/her uniqueness. Please
