An Intervention is a professionally directed, education process resulting in a face to face meeting of family members, friends and/or employer with the person in trouble with alcohol or drugs.If you, a member of your family or a loved one is in the grips of an addiction, you know how isolating it can be. My focus is on shining a light on the addiction by acknowledging “The Elephant in The Room” for the family as well as the individual. I have extensive work in both inpatient and In-home settings helping those struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction. A quality intervention will guide an addict’s family and friends to a place where they can be effective at finally getting their loved one to accept professional drug treatment. I feel deeply that addiction is a family issue as it effects all members of a family. I have a Masters of Science in Counseling and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC).
