Therapist Overview
Helping couples with the marriage relationship is an extreme passion for me as it’s the most important relationship in an individual’s life and generally affects every aspect of life. The ability to have a healthy, thriving marriage is my goal in working with couples. This growth is often painful and joyful but I believe in the power of God to help people recover! I also work with spouses of sexual addiction/infidelity to aid in healing, forgiveness, setting boundaries and reconciliation. For marital conflict I utilize interventions based on Gottman Marriage Theory and also explore possible traumas and their impact on the marriage relationship. For betrayals of sexual addiction/infidelity I offer steps for partner recovery, self care, forgiveness and growth. I use materials from Patrick and Stephanie Carnes. Counseling with couples and individuals who are hurting and needing healing is a privilege and honor. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for clients to share their life hurts, explore, learn and grow. As I seek to exhort, encourage and educate I am blessed to watch clients heal, grow in insight, and begin to thrive. This is a true joy!
