Therapist Overview
I recognize that it takes courage to seek counseling. I keep that in mind, as I come along side my clients and validate, encourage and challenge them in a safe environment to work toward their personal and specific goals. I do a lot of work with clients who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. I also do marital and pre-marital counseling and am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator. In addition, I help clients work through such issues as grief and loss, anger, depression, anxiety, codependency and life transitions. I am a Christian. My style is also helpful for non Christians. I work with individuals, couples and groups. I have a lot of experience helping men and women to recognize how childhood sexual abuse continues to affect them today and to find freedom from effects of shame, betrayal and powerlessness resulting from the abuse. I equip them with new relationship skills. I am a Certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and have been trained in EMDR and Brainspotting.
