Therapist Overview
Hi, I’m Shannon and I’m an LMFT. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2014 and have a range of training and experience from treating individuals and families with anxiety and depression, psychosis and mood disorders, to adjustment and severe trauma. My approach is eclectic, combining elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative, and Existential to find what works best for each person, couple, or family. I enjoy working with clients who are interested in working collaboratively with me as a team. I’m here to support you and work together to overcome any road blocks in your way to living the life you want. I have specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and FOCUS for families, a resiliency model for families overcoming trauma related experiences. I’ve attended the CA State DV training and have worked with both survivors and perpetrators of violence including DV and CSEC. I attend annual trauma conferences to keep up to date. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to learn about different cultures, writing, art, and spending time with my cats and dog. Whether you’re looking for symptom management, stress reduction, battling existential anxieties, or wanting to find more meaningful relationships with healthier communication, I’m here to support you in reaching your individual goals.
