Therapist Overview
To me, psychotherapy is an endeavor which involves, very simply, two people talking to each other with curiosity and openness in order to fully understand the needs and questions of one person. Even in the Covid age working via video or phone sessions, I believe that the heart of therapy resides in the therapeutic relationship. Within this relationship, I listen closely for how one’s past might be seeping into one’s present in ways that seem to get in the way of contentment. My style is interactive and engaged – face-to-face. Some people seek therapy to address a discrete issue; others come out of a more abstract sense that something in their lives could be different. I honor both in-roads. As this is my second career – I was previously a legal aid lawyer – I often work with people in transition. I see adults: individuals and couples. My office is in the Village and people I work with submit my bills to their insurance carriers for out-of-network compensation. These are my 100 words. D
