Clients come to me seeking relief from symptoms of depression or anxiety, or hoping to cultivate more rewarding connections with others and a sense of living life as their best selves. Therapy offers the potential for liberation from old patterns of behavior and negative perceptions that can limit us, sometimes in profound ways. Couples learn to respond more skillfully to each other’s emotional states and needs in order to strengthen or repair the bond between them. I use an integrative approach, incorporating aspects of humanistic, interpersonal, and contemporary psychodynamic therapies.
