Therapist Overview
I am an experienced licensed psychologist in Alameda (near Oakland). I work with adults and seniors, and see both individuals and couples. I meet with clients in-person and online. I can help with depression, anger, trauma, ptsd, stuckness, abuse, bullying, grief, failure, loss, loneliness, shame, guilt, anxiety, impulse control problems, some addictions, relationship and marriage issues and other life and existential issues. I am compassionate and empathic, but also intelligent, practical and active. I will help you understand your issues and gently push you to grow, adapt and cope. I draw on two evidence-based forms of psychotherapy which complement one another: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Both are well researched and known to be effective. Both can provide significant value even when the duration of therapy is short. I accept Medicare, Lyra Health and Partnership Health insurances.
