Therapist Overview
It is my belief that once a person has decided to make an appointment to see a counselor, he/she has realized that what they have been doing is not working for them. In most cases, clients know what they want but not how to get there. I see my role as “journeying” with clients to get to where they want to be. I have worked extensively with clients who are experiencing grief/ loss and depression issues. Also, with clients who are experiencing substance abuse issues either personally or in their families. In addition to providing individual counseling to those clients who are dealing with substance abuse issues, I also conduct several substance abuse groups weekly. This group setting allows clients to be in a “supportive/safe place” with others who are addressing similar issues.
