Margie Ewald

Margie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor who received her MSW from UIC. Adulting can be hard and confusing, and most of us weren’t given a manual to navigate the difficulties that seem to arise constantly. Margie has 7 years of experience working in the field. Margie approaches each interaction with openness and understanding, validating unique experiences. Trauma-informed and client-centered treatment are integral to her approach to therapy and central to creating lasting change. Above all else, Margie is person-centered, which means the therapeutic relationship will be collaborative. Margie specializes in working with adults with mood, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders. Margie’s approach is an eclectic mix of humanistic and cognitive approaches. This eclecticism allows us to explore both the underlying causes of current distress and build coping skills.
