My approach to the therapeutic process is largely based on Karen Horney’s principal, which is,“You need not, and in fact, cannot, teach an acorn to grow into an oak tree, but when given a chance, its intrinsic potentialities will develop. Similarly, the human individual, given a chance, tends to develop his particular human potentialities.” I view it as my job, role and responsibility to give my clients that “chance” that they need and deserve in order to develop and grow into the greatest and healthiest person that they can be. With this in mind, I strive to create an atmosphere where my clients feel safe, accepted, cared for and understood. I achieve this through advanced listening skills, genuineness, conveying unconditional acceptance, and being empathic. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exercising, dancing, listening to music, playing music, reading, writing, and connecting with the beauty of nature.
