Therapist Overview
I specialize in couples therapy, addiction issues, depression/anxiety and trauma. I also work with co-occurring disorders for those who are struggling with more than one thing at a time. I co-created and ran a specialized program at Rogers Behavioral Health and worked in the Aurora system before entering private practice. My diverse experience with all types of people and issues helps me work with you as the unique person you are with compassion, knowledge and empathy. My personal interests include collecting vinyl records, playing guitar at very high volume, baseball, my wonderful family and two dogs, Zelda and Dinsdale. I’ve had struggles in my life and the lessons learned lie at the core of my treatment approach. I take the information I’ve absorbed through my many years of schooling and training and run that through the filter of life experience to relate and guide you through your own unique trials. I believe the most important factor in treatment is the relationship between patient and therapist. When we talk the first thing we’ll do is determine if there’s a good fit. If for some reason there’s not I’d be happy to refer you to someone else because your well-being comes first.
