Therapist Overview
Do you feel a loss of identity and purpose in the midst of caregiving demands? Are you caring for everyone except your Self? I have 25 years of experience helping clients and families cope with chronic/ terminal illness, caregiver stress, and grief/loss. I have worked the past 12 years at Hospice of Petaluma and have extensive knowledge of resources in Sonoma County for elders and caregivers. I specialized in Gerontology at UC Berkeley MSW program. I completed Advanced training in depth oriented Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley. I work short and long term helping clients with grief, loss, food/ mood/ anxiety connection, and caregiver burnout. I know how difficult it can be to work in the helping field while parenting children and caring for elderly parents. My style is warm, engaging and collaborative. My goal is to create a safe space for nurturing self-compassion which leads to greater well-being.
