I was 12 when my father died and I quickly learned to accept responsibility and challenges beyond my age. I developed a keen sensitivity to the emotional hurts and needs of other’s and became a social worker long before receiving a professional license in March 2002. I have a heart for the hurting – for the struggles of adolescence, marriage, divorce, parenting, caring for the elderly and all transitional phases of life. I believe people often struggle in silence alone in their suffering. I have worked in Hospice Care, Child Welfare, County Mental Health systems and with both Juvenile and Adults who have been incarcerated. I have a special love for the elderly. My experience includes over 20 years providing psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, families, children, and the incarcerated.
