Therapist Overview
I see children all ages. I use experiential play therapy, sand tray, expressive art therapy, & Filial Therapy. Issues: anxiety, depression, “don’t fit in” children, “acting out” behaviors & difficulties. The family is included as much as possible. I work with County Social Work Units – Child Protection, Foster Care related issues; Reactive Attachment Disorder, Complex Trauma, & other concerns. I work with individual, male & female adults, and their families. The adult clientele include people: health issues, recovering eating disorders and/or substance abuse, coping with loss, parenting issues, depression, anxiety, and self-growth. I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) since 2009; and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2003. I have mental health experience in diverse settings and populations. Using Play Therapy is the natural language of children and their families. I have extensive experience in play therapy in practice and training others. I offer to collaborate with other professionals with the client’s permission. I welcome working with a variety of view points that integrated into a health plan for each person. I practice this by reaching out to clients’ health care providers, other county workers involved, and other professionals such as teachers, school counselors, and community groups.
